Understanding Disposable Contact Lens Options

There is nothing more convenient than disposable contact lenses. But did you know that there is a variety of options for how long you can wear your lenses?

We want you to understand and explore all of your options for disposable contact lenses so that you can make the choice that is right for your lifestyle, as well as your eyes.

Here are the duration options you can pick from:

Daily Disposable

Daily disposable contacts are ideal for people who enjoy the convenience of wearing their contacts once, then disposing them. These contacts are perfect for people who lead busy lives or who want perfectly sterile contacts each day.

Allergy sufferers benefit especially from daily disposables because the lenses you use are new and sterile each day.

1-2 Week Disposable

Weekly disposable contacts are made to be used for between one and two weeks, and then thrown away. Weekly disposable wearers need to be sure to clean their lenses regularly.

Weekly disposables are particularly useful for people with astigmatism or presbyopia because this duration offers both toric and multifocal soft lenses to work with these conditions.

1-3 Month Disposable

Of disposable lenses, monthly disposable lenses offer the longest durability, and are intended to be worn for between one and three months’ time.

Your doctor will help you to determine the exact duration that you should use your monthly disposables for. Regular cleaning is essential for monthly disposable contact lenses.
